A new tulip farm in Ottawa has recently opened and you need to visit! It’s at Green Corners Farm in Edwards, Ottawa, Ontario which is only a 20 minute drive from downtown. They are an official supplier for the Canadian Tulip Festival. They have planted over 500,000 tulips in the u-pick field, as well as daffodils and hyacinths in the Arbour photo area. It’s an absolutely wonderful place for photographers, families, friends or a couple! It is larger than I anticipated and the owners have provided props through the fields for perfect photo opportunities!
2024 Update: unfortunately they are not open due to a fungal disease! Hopefully next year goes well!

Photo tips: a telephoto lens gives the best compression for photos in places like tulip farms! If you don’t own a telephoto lens, you still have lots of options! Walk a few rows away from your subject and have rows of tulips in front. Or, take photos symmetrically down a row of tulips, or focus on a single tulip in the shot. The options are endless at a tulip farm!
